We are pleased to announce that Road & Travel Magazine has named the 2016 Hyundai Tucson "International Family Vehicle of the Year." The award, handed out as a part of the magazine's annual International Car of Year Awards, was presented to Hyundai at this year’s LA Auto Show.

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson won over a diverse group of 12 jurors to earn the "International Car of the Year" accolade. Made up of automotive journalists, the jury determined that the Tucson was the best recipient for the award due to its collection of safety technologies and family-friendly features offered across the model lineup.

"The 2016 Hyundai Tucson CUV won in its category because it not only met but exceeded ICOTY's criteria with its personable and modern styling, safety features and ease of handling, and with how well it resonated with young families," said Courtney Caldwell, founder, International Car of the Year Award. "The Tucson stood out among all the contenders in the family category based largely on family reaction."

Redesigned for 2016, the Tucson features a spacious interior with seating for up to five passengers and two fuel-efficient powertrain options. Additionally, the SUV offers a wide range of safety components, including Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Automatic Emergency Braking, to name a few.
