The Hyundai Sonata's lineup of fuel-efficient, eco-friendly models has earned it a spot on Green Car Journal's list of finalists for their annual Green Car of the Year award. The standard Sonata, including the Sonata Hybrid, Sonata Plug-in Hybrid and Sonata Eco, are up for the coveted accolade which will be handed out at this year's L.A. Auto Show in November.
"The 2016 Hyundai Sonata delivers what many buyers are seeking, a stylish and fun-to-drive car that offers varying options to go 'green,'" said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of Green Car Journal and CarsOfChange.com. "Offering the Sonata in efficient gasoline, hybrid and plug-in hybrid choices at approachable price points is an important strategy for encouraging cleaner and more efficient personal transportation on our highways."
Hyundai has made various modifications to the Sonata over the years in an effort to boost its fuel economy through the use of innovative technologies and advanced safety features. With the arrival of the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid this fall, Hyundai is continuing their push toward developing "green" vehicles and has plans to expand their Blue Drive lineup.
Available now at Vandergriff Hyundai, the 2016 Hyundai Sonata is one of the top new vehicles in its segment. Head over to our dealership to take it for a test drive and get a close look at its host of features.
