The seventh-generation Hyundai Sonata has only been on the market for one solid year but that hasn't stopped the automaker from adding a series of components to the sedan for the 2016 model year. The award-winning model, which was named "Most Affordable Midsize Send" by Cars.com, now comes with several fresh features that enhance its appearance and expand its tech offerings.

Now entering its second year on the market, the seventh-gen Sonata has received minor updates that throughout its lineup. The Limited trim now features a brand-new 17-inch wheel design, a restyled front bumper with a three-bar grille and an upgraded woodgrain pattern trim on select interior combos. Additionally, the model gains a standard sunroof, which is now an available option on the Sport trim. The Limited, Sport, SE, Eco and Spot 2.0T models also gain a brand-new 7-inch color touchscreen display with Android Auto, improving the in-car driving experience.
To keep the Sonata performing its best, Hyundai engineers added aluminum components to its suspension in order to improve handling. Automatic Emergency Braking was also added to models that were previously equipped with Ford Collision Warning in an effort to boost safety for drivers and passengers at all times.
