The 2016 Hyundai Veloster and Elantra have each been given “Best Value in America” awards from Vincentric, a respected automotive research firm. This is the fourth consecutive year the Veloster has received the award and the second year the Elantra has had the pleasure of receiving the accolade.

“Receiving this award is testament to Elantra and Veloster delivering on Hyundai’s promise of safety, technology, style and value,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president, corporate and product planning, Hyundai Motor America. “With the introduction of our all-new 2017 Elantra, we hope to continue the vehicle’s momentum as one of our best-selling nameplates and confirm Elantra as the leader in the compact car category.”
To figure out which vehicles would receive 2016 “Best Value in America” awards, Vincentric measured ownership costs in eight different areas: insurance, financing, fuel, depreciation, taxes and fees, repairs, maintenance and opportunity cost. From this, they were able to determine that the 2016 Hyundai Elantra and Veloster each had low costs of ownership. This made them ideal for this year’s awards.
