Specs at a Glance
In 2021, the Hyundai Elantra Limited and SEL are at their best yet with a complete redesign from the ground up. The 2021 Hyundai Elantra gets some refreshments inside and out, including a sleeker body and broader stance, creating more space in the cabin. The Hyundai Elantra expands upon its list of performance options by offering a hybrid powertrain for the first time. The trim lineup for the regular Elantra remains the same, including the two popular SEL and 2021 Hyundai Elantra Limited trim levels. The SEL, the mid-level trim, and the top Limited benefit from new features for 2021, including new infotainment systems and more legroom.
Elantra SEL vs. Limited Performance
The Hyundai Elantra SEL and Limited both have a 2.0L gasoline engine with four cylinders. This engine provides 147 HP and slightly more than 130 LB-FT in torque. Both have automatic transmissions with smooth-shifting gearing for a comfortable and composed ride. The Elantra SEL and Limited are produced with front-wheel drive.
2021 Hyundai Elantra Appearance
From ground to roof, the Hyundai Elantra has some noteworthy appearance changes for 2021. The Elantra's shell is broader and longer, which adds to its bolder look while providing more interior space. The 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL also gets a more extended and aerodynamic roofline this year. LED headlights illuminate the road with the SEL, which has a sharp-looking chrome grille and polished 16-inch alloy wheels. Full LED lighting is added to the 2021 Hyundai Elantra Limited, which also sports LED brake lights in the back. Slightly larger 17-inch wheels also come with the Limited, which exchanges the chrome front grille for a chrome-accented grille with a dark finish.
Elantra SEL vs. Limited Features
A generous list of components comes with both Elantra trims. The SEL has a new eight-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration support and wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SEL's audio includes six speakers and satellite radio. It comes with dual USB charging ports as well. The Limited adds elegance with leather-appointed seats, enhanced voice recognition technology, and a larger 10.25-inch display screen. It also has a sunroof and Hyundai Digital Key, which lets you open the car with your phone. Both the SEL and Limited have a standard set of driver-assist safety aids. The Limited adds lane-keeping assist and rear automatic braking to the list.
