What Are the Sonata Trims & Features?

Hyundai offers the SE, SEL, SEL Plus, and Limited trim lines for the 2021 model year. With the SE trim, you'll have access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Other notable features include a rear camera, a center console touchscreen, and LED taillights. The SEL trim adds heated front seats, an 8-way power driver's seat, and proximity key entry with push-button start. SEL Plus includes 19-inch alloy wheels, leatherette seating with suede inserts, wireless device charging, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

The top-line Limited adds leather seating, 6-way power front seats, ventilated front seats, 64-color ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch LCD cluster, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, surround-view monitor, and 10.25-inch color touchscreen with navigation. The new for 2021 N model is high-performance and looks the part with its more aggressive look.

Sonata has a hybrid variant with three trim levels: Blue, SEL, and Limited. The features list for the Blue trim is what you'll get on the gas-burning Sonata SE trim.  On the Hybrid SEL trim, dual USB ports are added, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless charging, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system. The features list in the Hybrid Limited is identical to that of the standard Sonata Limited trim. Sonata Hybrid Limited features a 205-watt solar panel roof that charges the vehicle's 12-volt and hybrid lithium-ion batteries. This can give the car an additional 700 miles over a year, sourced from sunlight.

What's Under the Hood of the 2021 Hyundai Sonata?

Hyundai Sonata offers ample power combined with a fantastic fuel economy. The SE and SEL trim lines come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that's rated at 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. You'll get a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that can pump out 180 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque in the SEL Plus and Limited. The all-new Sonata N model is made to excite serious driving enthusiasts, offering a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine with 290 horsepower. The SE has a combined 32 MPG, and the turbo-powered SEL Plus and Limited get a combined 30 MPG. An 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive is standard across all trims.
