2022 Hyundai Kona Exterior

What's New for the 2022 Hyundai Kona?

A long list of changes accompanies the Hyundai Kona in 2022. This year, the Kona has a fresh new look and an updated interior that is safer and more tech-savvy than ever. A new trim level joins the Kona lineup too, which is called the N Line. With the N Line comes a boost in power and performance with an exclusive turbo engine. Some higher-end luxury amenities also dress up the N Line's interior, including attractive cabin lighting. Every Kona comes with a more extensive touchscreen interface, as an eight-inch display screen replaces the seven-inch display that was previously standard. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now standard, and you'll get more advanced safety aids.

What Are the Kona Trims & Features?

Seven trim levels are available in the 2022 Hyundai Kona lineup. The first six carry over from 2021. The base trim, which is the SE, adds some new features for 2022. The SE now contains Kona's latest eight-inch infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The interior also has a more streamlined appearance with a cleaner and simpler design. The SEL is the second trim level in the lineup with satellite radio and HD for an upgraded audio system. It adds heated mirrors for safer driving in cold weather and heated front seats for optimal comfort when temperatures drop. A leather-wrapped steering wheel gives its cabin a classy finish.

The third trim level is the SEL Plus, which adds a wireless charging pad, a sunroof, and an Infinity sound system. The Night trim, which was added in 2021, stands out for its blacked-out color scheme. Next up, the Limited adds leather seats, and the top Ultimate trim has integrated navigation. The N Line has a more powerful engine, a refined cabin, and a sportier exterior appearance.
