What's New For the 2019 Hyundai IONIQ Hybrid?

The model lineup offers updated safety features for 2019, including new driver alerts and high beam technology. The SEL model has been upgraded with the Tech package that includes standard lane assist, automatic cruise, and auto emergency braking. All EV and plug-in versions now come standard with remote charge management technology.

What's New For 2019 IONIQ Hybrid?

Hyundai offers three basic models, including the Hybrid, Plug-in, and Electric. Buyers enjoy the choice of unique upgrade choices within each model line to suit their needs and pocketbook.

The Hybrid series offers several model options. The entry-level 2019 IONIQ Hybrid Blue is among the industry's least expensive hybrids and features a 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, hands-free, and SiriusXM capability. Also included are a power driver's seat, proximity key entry, and push-button start. The Hybrid SEL trim level adds driver and passenger comfort with heated front seats, 10-point power driver's seat, leather-bound steering wheel with paddle shifters, and custom shift knob.

The SEL is available with a special Tech package that is loaded with many safety and convenience features. The IONIQ Hybrid Limited trim adds luxury to your driving adventure with leather seats, power sunroof, LED interior lighting, Blue Link connected technology, and auto-dimming mirror features. You can upgrade to the Limited's Ultimate level that comes standard with the Tech package and a host of entertainment and convenience add-ons.

The 2019 IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid model takes many of standard features of the non-plugged hybrids and adds heated front seats and leather-bound steering and shifting components. The Plug-in's Ultimate package includes several of the options found in the other Ultimate package plus corner-bending HID headlights and wireless device charging.

The IONIQ Electric comes with many of the prior models' standard features. You'll also enjoy the convenience of the 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, rapid charging, heated front seats, and remote access. This model is also available in a Limited edition with a power sunroof, leather seats, and several technology add-ons featured in the Hybrid Limited model.

What's the Electric-Only Range on the 2019 Hyundai IONIQ?

2019 Hyundai IONIQ HybridThe Hybrid combines electric and gas motors for a zippy 139 total horsepower. The Blue trim level has an amazing estimated EPA rating of 57/59 highway, and the SEL and Limited trims come close with a rating of 55/54. The Plug-in model has a more powerful electric motor that enables it to journey up to 29 miles on just electric power. The combined mileage for both plug-in trims is 119 MPGe and 52 mpg. The full Electric model produces 118 hp and a whopping 218 lb-ft of torque with an estimated range of 136 MPGe, or 124 miles on a total charge.
