What's New For the 2020 Hyundai Venue?

The new Venue has a 99.2-inch wheelbase, making it the smallest vehicle of the 2020 class. Just remember that big things come in small packages while you're assessing the Venue, and also remember that good things often come in inexpensive packages. What can you get in a vehicle at this price these days? Hyundai proves that you don't have to pay dearly for superior tech and safety features these days. They've made the Venue an impressive first outing in 2020. Here's why.

What are the 2020 Hyundai Venue Trims & Features?

The SE and SEL have already been announced, but we know that Hyundai may add in more trims as they continue to roll out news on the Venue. The trims will be front-wheel drive only, and that's probably more efficient for a vehicle of this size. You're not buying it for off-roading. You're buying it for the classy interior and intriguing interior, featuring a headlight design that we've never seen on another SUV before. It's a surround-view of the headlights that makes it very distinct and interesting.

Then there's the 8" touchscreen console that will give you access to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, another huge perk in a day when that technology is still heavily priced. Hyundai managed to give it to you just to buy a Venue. Other standout features include Rear 60/40 split fold-down seats for additional cargo space when you need it, as well as an optional sunroof. That's one classy interior.

Raw Power and Stellar Performance

2020 Hyundai VenueThe engine is a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder powerhouse that generates 121 horsepower at 6300rpm. Choose from a 6-speed manual or continuously variable automatic transmission. Both transmission options have their perks, but we're especially impressed by the dynamic driving experience offered by a manual transmission. It lets you get into the physical aspect of driving a little bit more vigorously and really scan your environment and respond to it.

Packed with Safety Features

2020 Hyundai VenueHyundai SafetySense has long been one of the most innovative of today's driver-assist safety suites. The 2020 Venue features prominent standouts from SafetySense, such as Blind Spot Collision Warning (optional), Rear Collision Cross-Traffic Warning (optional), and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection (standard). What each of these tools does for the Venue is mitigate or alert in the event of an adverse condition on the road. That's a perfect setup when you're driving an urban utility vehicle, a vehicle you know is going to encounter some sticky situations during city driving.

What these tools will do is make sure that you're alerted when something goes wrong with your Venue driving experience, and you'll be able to respond to that warning, and in some instances, your Venue will be intelligent enough to respond to your situation itself without you having to do anything.
